Benyue Restaurant: Authentic Cantonese Dim Sum and Seafood Experience in Indianapolis

We had a wonderful Dim Sum here! We visited this restaurant around 6pm on a Saturday, it was moderately busy, but not full and we were seated when we came in. As soon as we seated they brought our tea. We ordered Chinese broccoli, chives pancakes (not pictured), stuffed eggplant, shrimp dumplings, and for dessert we had golden cream bun and sesame balls ( they come as three per order, but I remembered to take the photo after the 2nd one :D). Everything tasted very good and the waiting time for food was okay (10-15) except for the dessert ( it took longer because the kitchen was busy) but that was totally okay. Atmosphere and service were great. I would come again and It is recommended.

This was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had! The dim sum was good but the real stars were the Cantonese sweet and sour pork and the House special pan fried noodle. Both amazing and has to be the best Chinese food in Indiana! Highly recommend if you enjoy authentic Chinese food not American Chinese this is the place!!!! You will not be disappointed! Going back very soon the try the pork belly, beef chow fun, and Chan Siu pork! The staff is very friendly and helpful. A wonderful dining experience!

So lucky that Indy is finally getting an authentic and high-end Chinese restaurant! We went there as a group to celebrate my buddy's birthday and we went ALL OUT! From lobsters to lamp chops, Benyue did not disappoint and wowed us with entrees after entrees of delicacies formerly only available in China or major cities like New York or San Francisco. I will 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking the real deal.

Had a great experience for some lunch dim sum recently. The dishes were tasty and I had plenty to take home with me for dinner too. I’ll be back!

Outstanding service I love their authenic menu! We tried the Duck with buns [2 people can be full with just this entree] & crispy pork belly definitely recommend! The flavor contained so much depth that I found myself in awe, absolutely incredible experience.

I was in Indianapolis on business and heard a lot of buzz about this restaurant. So, I went there last Tuesday evening. Elsa the owner greeted us warmly, and the staff was excellent. The food was amazing! Every dish was made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. Best Chinese food I ever had. I give this restaurant the highest rating. Can’t wait until I come back to town to have more high quality Chinese cuisine! March 2024 Update! I was able to try new dishes during my recent visit to Indianapolis. As expected, the food was delicious especially the Crab with Black Bean Sauce. I tell everyone about the amazing food at Benyue and I look forward to visiting Indianapolis solely for the food!

What I loved about this restaurant is that it doesn't just serve your typical American style Chinese food. They have a lot of traditional options to choose from as well. My crispy pork belly was delicious. Mongolian beef was super tender. Calamari was unfortunately over cooked but tasted good. I look forward to going back real soon.

The menu is a little bit much especially on the exotic end but we stuck to the American Chinese food and it was delicious. The Hunan Chicken was awesome and spicy and the Hong Kong fried noodles were also very good. The portions are very generous!
